Power stations & waste incineration

Organic coatings have proved their worth over many decades in the fl ue gas purifi cation plants of power stations and waste incineration plants and fi nd a wide range of applications in this area. Plant components in contact with media are predominantly exposed to aqueous suspensions of solid and solute salts, for example chlorides and sulphates. In addition, gaseous substances such as SO2, HCl, NOx are also contained here.

The very differing plant constructions and optimised operation modes result in differing chemical, thermal and mechanical operational demands on the corresponding components. Consequently, no one plant is the same as another. Past experience has shown that for example plant components, which were originally categorised as uncritical with respect to chemical exposure, must today be protected accordingly.

Further applications:

  • Renovation of electrical precipitators
  • Renovation of flue gas ducts, ventilators, shutters etc.
  • Renovation of flue gas scrubbers with simultaneous optimisation of the quench and precipitation behaviour
  • Renovation and reconstruction of chimney installations with optimised protection against corrosion
